A 2.5 hour photography photo walk around Reculver Towers, Kent, UK

At the end of July, Ignite hosted an exciting photowalk at the historic Reculver Towers in Kent. We were joined by 13 enthusiastic kids from various local schools, eager to explore and capture the beauty of this iconic landmark.

Over the course of 2.5 hours, the young photographers roamed around the towers, learning about the basics of photography while putting their skills to the test. The unique combination of history and stunning coastal views provided the perfect backdrop for their creative expressions.

The kids had an absolute blast, experimenting with different angles and perspectives to get the perfect shot. The weather cooperated beautifully, giving us great natural light to work with, and the kids took full advantage, snapping away with excitement.

Throughout the photowalk, the Ignite team provided guidance and tips on composition, lighting, and camera settings. This hands-on experience not only enhanced their photography skills but also allowed them to appreciate the historical significance of Reculver Towers.

The highlight of the day was seeing the kids’ excitement as they reviewed their photos, proud of the amazing images they had captured. From close-up shots of the ancient ruins to wide-angle views of the coastline, their work showcased a range of creative talents and a keen eye for detail.

This photowalk was a wonderful blend of education and fun, demonstrating Ignite’s commitment to fostering creativity and learning through engaging activities. We are proud of the incredible photos taken by these young photographers and grateful for the opportunity to inspire and nurture their talents.
