This April half term, Ignite had the pleasure of hosting a week-long photography workshop at Horizon School in Dubai. With over 20 enthusiastic students attending throughout the week, the program offered a dynamic introduction to both the fundamentals and finer points of photography.

From understanding exposure and reading histograms to mastering composition and working with RAW files, students dove into a variety of hands-on learning experiences. Each session was carefully designed to make complex photography concepts both accessible and engaging, no matter their prior experience.

The young photographers explored the technical aspects of using a camera, experimented with creative framing, and learned how to tell stories through their images. By the end of the week, students were confidently applying both basic and advanced techniques — a testament to their dedication and curiosity.

It was incredible to see each student develop their own visual style and grow more confident behind the lens. We’re proud to have sparked such creativity and can’t wait to see where their photographic journeys take them next.
