At Gems Founders in Al Barsha, a recent educational adventure unfolded as we delved into the captivating world of photography with a group of Year 10 students. Over four enlightening hours, we introduced them to the fundamental principles of photography, paving their way into the captivating realm of capturing moments and expressing their creativity.

Aperture, ISO, and Shutter Speed: These essential pillars of photography were the stars of the show. We demystified these key concepts, helping the students grasp the art and science behind taking stunning photographs. The eager young minds soaked up knowledge like sponges, as they discovered how adjusting these settings could dramatically transform the quality of their images.

But we didn’t stop at theory. Hands-on practice was at the heart of the workshop. Armed with cameras, the students ventured into the world of Gems Founders, capturing moments, angles, and unique perspectives that they’d never considered before.

What’s more, we made the experience even more memorable by offering printers on-site. Students had the chance to select their favorite shots, print them, and take home tangible memories of their photographic journey. Witnessing their photos come to life was a truly rewarding sight.

The Gems Founders Photography Workshop aimed not only to teach the basics of photography but also to ignite a spark of creativity and curiosity. We hope that these budding photographers will continue to explore the world through their lenses, and we can’t wait to see their talents flourish.
