In November, we embarked on an inspiring journey to Gems Dubai American Academy in Al Barsha, where we had the privilege of introducing 120 enthusiastic Grade 5 students to the enchanting world of photography. Over two unforgettable days, we shared the very basics of this art form, igniting a passion for capturing moments that these young minds will carry with them for a lifetime.

Gems Dubai American Academy boasts breathtaking architecture and captivating interiors, making it the perfect canvas for budding photographers. Armed with cameras and guided by our experienced mentors, the students set out to explore the school’s unique visual treasures.

Architectural Wonders: From striking exteriors to cozy nooks, the students discovered the magic of architecture photography. They learned to frame shots that celebrated the school’s modern design, and their lenses painted vivid pictures of the academy’s aesthetic beauty.

Interior Marvels: Stepping indoors, these young photographers found inspiration in the subtle details and intriguing spaces within the school. Every corner seemed to whisper a story, and the students captured these tales through their lenses, unearthing the art of interior photography.

But what made this experience truly exceptional was the opportunity for immediate gratification. The best photographs, chosen by a panel of experts, were brought to life as they were printed for all to see. The awe and excitement on the faces of the young photographers as they held their printed works in their hands was a sight to behold.

We believe that these two days were not just about photography but about nurturing creativity, fostering an appreciation for the world’s visual wonders, and instilling the importance of paying attention to the details that often go unnoticed.

As these 120 Grade 5 students continue their journey through education, we have no doubt that the skills and passion they discovered in the world of photography will enrich their lives and allow them to see the world with fresh eyes.
