We were thrilled to return to Safa British School in Dubai this year to run another exciting photography workshop with the talented Year 6 students. Over the course of two fun-filled days, we explored the fascinating world of photography together, and the students had the chance to develop their creative skills behind the camera.

The workshop was designed to introduce students to the basics of photography, including understanding light, composition, and storytelling through images. It was amazing to see how quickly they picked up new techniques and how enthusiastic they were to put their creativity into practice.

Throughout the two days, students experimented with different styles of photography, from portraits to nature shots, capturing the world around them from fresh new perspectives. One of the highlights of the workshop was watching the students gain confidence in using cameras and expressing their unique ideas through their photos.

To wrap up the workshop, we printed off some of the students’ favourite images, giving them the opportunity to take their work home and proudly share it with friends and family. It was wonderful to see their faces light up as they held their printed photographs — a tangible reminder of their hard work and creativity.

We always enjoy visiting Saga British School, and this year’s workshop was no exception. The enthusiasm, curiosity, and creativity of the Year 6 students made it an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.
