Ignite Schools Powered By Canon @ Repton School, Dubai

Ignite recently had the pleasure of visiting Repton School Al Barsha for the second time, marking our first visit in two years. It’s always a delight to return to a school that is so highly regarded in Dubai, and this visit was no exception.

During our time at Repton, the focus was on giving GCSE students a hands-on experience with studio flash photography. We brought along a selection of lighting equipment for the students to use, allowing them to experiment with creative lighting techniques and see the immediate impact on their work. There was a real buzz in the studio as the students engaged with the equipment, testing different setups and discovering the nuances of lighting in photography.

One of the highlights of the day was seeing students print their best photographs. From capturing striking portraits to experimenting with unique compositions, it was inspiring to see their hard work come to life on paper. The practical session not only allowed students to develop technical skills but also encouraged them to explore their creativity and push their artistic boundaries.

Our visit reaffirmed why Repton School Al Barsha is such a respected institution. The students’ enthusiasm, curiosity, and willingness to learn were evident throughout the day, making it a rewarding experience for the Ignite team. It’s always a privilege to support young photographers and witness their growth and confidence in their craft.
