Ignite Schools Workshop Powered By Canon @ Safa British School, Dubai

e kicked off the new academic year with an exciting visit to Gems World Academy in Dubai, engaging with their Year 5 and Year 6 students. During our four-hour workshop, we introduced them to the fundamentals of photography, covering everything from camera functions to creative tips for capturing stunning photos.

The students were eager to learn and dive into the hands-on experience. We explored how to adjust settings such as focus, exposure, and composition, encouraging each student to understand the power of framing and lighting in photography. Beyond the technical aspects, we shared a few nuggets of wisdom that could help them enhance their photography skills—like how to spot interesting angles or use natural light effectively.

It was a fun and interactive session that allowed students to immediately apply their newfound knowledge. By the end of the workshop, they were confidently experimenting with their cameras, capturing moments with a newfound perspective. We’re excited to see what these young photographers create next!
