Ignite Schools Workshop Powered By Canon @ Emirates International School, Dubai

On a sunny Tuesday, Ignite had the pleasure of visiting Emirates International School in Jumeirah for an engaging photography workshop with Year 10 students. This marked our second visit to the school, and we were thrilled to see such enthusiasm and creativity among the students.

The workshop began with an introduction to the basic functions of the camera. We covered essential topics such as aperture, shutter speed, and ISO settings, ensuring that every student understood how to manipulate these elements to capture stunning photographs. The students were eager to learn and asked insightful questions, showing a genuine interest in mastering their new skills.

Next, we delved into the art of composition. We discussed the rule of thirds, leading lines, and the importance of perspective in creating compelling images. To bring these concepts to life, we took the students on a walk around the school’s picturesque campus. This hands-on experience allowed them to practice their new skills in real-time, experimenting with different angles and settings.

The students’ enthusiasm was palpable as they snapped photos of their surroundings, each striving to capture the perfect shot. After our walk, we reviewed the photos together, selecting the best ones to print. The results were impressive, showcasing the students’ growth and their keen eye for detail.

Reflecting on the day, it’s clear that the workshop was a resounding success. The students not only gained technical knowledge but also developed a deeper appreciation for the art of photography. Their excitement and engagement made the experience rewarding for everyone involved.

We are grateful for the warm welcome we received at Emirates International School and look forward to returning soon. It’s always a pleasure to inspire young minds and watch their creativity flourish. Until next time, happy photographing!
