Ignite Photo Walks Powered By Canon @Green Planet, Dubai

For our final photo walk of the academic year, we visited The Green Planet – a long-standing favourite among students and staff alike. At this time of year, when the temperatures soar, it’s the perfect indoor location to stay cool while still enjoying a hands-on photography experience.

The lush indoor rainforest provided a vibrant and visually rich environment, full of colour, movement, and curious creatures. From tropical birds to reptiles and sloths, there was no shortage of fascinating subjects to capture. The students had the opportunity to explore different perspectives, lighting conditions, and compositions – all while engaging closely with nature.

It was fantastic to see how confident they’ve become with their cameras, and how naturally they’ve started to frame shots and look for storytelling opportunities in their work. Many of them captured incredible images of the animals in action, as well as some thoughtful portraits and creative detail shots.

Most importantly, the children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. There was a real buzz of excitement as they reviewed their photos and shared them with each other. It was a lovely way to round off the term and celebrate all the progress they’ve made this year in photography.

We’re already looking forward to what next year’s photo walks will bring!
