Ignite After School Clubs, Term 1 2024, UK

In term 1 2024 Ignite run ECA’s in schools in Whitstable and Canterbury.

This autumn, Ignited Run After-School Clubs brought creativity and excitement to students across four schools: Joy Lane School, St Mary’s School, Whitstable Junior School (all from Whitstable), and Chartham School (from Canterbury). Launching in the first term of the 2024 academic year, the clubs ran for six weeks and introduced students to the captivating art of photography.

Through hands-on sessions and engaging activities, students explored the “basics of photography” (our fun way of teaching the essentials) using specially designed workbooks. From understanding composition to mastering lighting, they learned the skills to capture stunning shots. Each student had the chance to showcase their creativity by printing their best photos to celebrate their progress.

The term was a resounding success! Students displayed enthusiasm and talent, proving that photography can inspire confidence and artistic expression. We’re thrilled to have kindled this passion and look forward to returning to these schools in the near future to continue nurturing young creatives.
