Ignite had the pleasure of embarking on an exciting journey with Whistable Juniors School in Whistable, UK, over terms 3 and 4. Our 11-week after-school club provided students with a comprehensive exploration of photography, covering everything from the basics to advanced techniques.

Throughout the program, our dedicated team guided the eight enthusiastic students through a structured curriculum, ensuring they gained a solid understanding of photography fundamentals. From mastering camera settings to experimenting with composition and lighting, each session was filled with hands-on learning and discovery.

To complement their practical experiences, students were provided with workbooks to document their progress. These workbooks became personalized journals, filled with printed photos and reflections on their creative journey. It was heartening to witness the students’ growth and confidence blossom as they filled their pages with snapshots of their imagination.

Amidst the learning, there was plenty of room for fun and creativity. From spontaneous photo walks to themed photo challenges, each session was infused with laughter and camaraderie. The joy of capturing moments and unleashing creativity became a shared experience, forging bonds that extended beyond the confines of the classroom.

As the term drew to a close, it was clear that the after-school club had left a lasting impression on both students and facilitators alike. We are immensely proud of the progress made by each participant and are eager to continue nurturing their passion for photography in the future. With plans to return to Whistable Juniors School in the near future, we look forward to embarking on further adventures behind the lens with these budding photographers.
