Gems Wellington School Dubai Day Out – December 2019

The students at Gems Wellington Primary School who were studying the CJA ECA were invited on a school trip to the Dubai Mall. The idea was to use their skills that they had learned over the 9 weeks during the course and put them into practice around the mall.

Canon would then print each student’s favourite photo and the school would put it up on the wall in a designated area in the school.
The 15 ECA students arrived at school all happy and eager to start their day and in no time the bus had delivered us to the mall nice and safely.
Each student was given a Canon 4000D camera to use for the mornings trip. The brief to the students was that when they saw something nice to photograph, they would stop and let everyone lese know. The Ignite team would then assess each photo and gibe tips on how they could improve it if any.
After navigating the mall, the walk then went outside where the fountains to the Burj Khalifa are found and the students started taking more photos. A quick visit into the Souk AL Bahar for a few more shots and it was back on the bus to return to the school.
The students then retuned their cameras along with their favourite photo to be printed.
Two weeks later (in the last week of term) Ignite and the school invited the parents to a coffee afternoon where we gave the students their printed photo and a certificate on participation for the ECA course. The photos are now proudly hanging in one the school corridors.
